Carlos Edriel Yulo performed excellently on his way to making it to four final events in the 51st FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Liverpool, Great Britain.

Yulo clinched spots in the finals of the men’s all-around, floor exercise, vault, and parallel bars during the qualification stage. The 22-year-old Pinoy gymnast finished third in the all-around qualifying with a combined score of 84.664 after brilliant performances in the apparatuses.

Only the scores of Wataru Tanigawa (84.731) and Daiki Hashimoto (84.665), both from Japan, were better than Yulo in the men’s all-around.

Yulo topped the floor exercise with a score of 15.266, overwhelming the competition with Ryosuke Doi of Japan taking the second spot with 14.766. With the first-place finish, Yulo will be out to regain the floor exercise crown which he won in 2019.
